Looking Out My Window - the many different views!

This past weekend while looking out my window ... there were many different views.  This large window is in our bathroom. I was looking out the window and grabbed my camera and snapped a photo of the Fall leaves this past Friday.  What a view... Mother Nature at her best!

But, on Saturday morning, this was the view from my window.......

snowy day

But, this morning when looking out my window..... the view was quite scary........

View from my window

Looking out my window today made me think of the times my siblings and I would go out on Halloween, usually 6-8 would go out together.  We used pillow cases to carry all our treats.  And, my goodness we would come home with so much candy.  Mother would let us have a few pieces and then she would put the rest of the candy away.

I also remember when I was a kid, many moons ago, we would take soap to mark up windows if no one answered the door when we went Trick-or-Treating.  To set the record straight....I did NOT soap windows.... but, now my brothers would :)

Did you ever get your windows marked with soap?  What was some of the tricks when you went out on Halloween.

Happy Halloween Everyone!!!

Zeke

Love the changing scenery out your window! I've never heard of the soap thing, but in our Miami neighborhoods we dodged eggs being thrown on Halloween. We did get pillowcases full of candy back then though :)

Rebecca: I like all 3 views from your bathroom window, but the first is my favorite.  The fall colors are fantastic.

Rebecca,

1.  I love the shape of that window.

2.   The shot with the foliage looks like a stained glass as does the next one.

3,  Great idea to decorate it with spooky happenings.  Have a wonderful Halloween. A

Rebecca - WOW!!!  That's your bathroom window?  Not sure I would feel comfortable in a bathroom like that (I walk around naked in my bathroom), especially doing business!  LOL

On another note, we didn't mark up windows with soap but my bros (I had four of them) would throw eggs at the houses that didn't give out candy even though they were home.  I know, not nice (I never did that) but my bros were a little hellions at times.

Love the new pic too!  Very nice!!!

Donne, it is a large window...but the shutters go halfway up and are kept closed most of the time...but doing the day it is nice to have the shutters opened and see the beauty outside.  My bros were hellions as well :)   THanks for stopping and commenting!

What beautiful photos, Rebecca.  I have not heard of soaping windows, but then I am British and we didn't have Halloween when I was growing up.

Howdy and evening Rebecca

Rebecca, this here pass weekend sure did give folks many different views out their windows. I enjoyed the photo views from your window!

The only Trick my best friend and I did, after we would go to the few homes in our country area, we would go home and change into a different costume and then go back out. I do believe some of the folks actually known it was visiting again.

Have a good one

Hi Rebecca,

Great views out your windows!  I'm not a huge Halloween fan.  We lived in a small area where homes were far apart.  As you can imagine my dad had to drive us from house to house.  When our kids were little we'd go out with them and wait at the end of driveways while they trick or treated the neighbors.  Tonight I tried sticking a bowl out with a note.  My $14 (4 bags worth) of candy was gone in 20! I'm lucky they don't soap windows around here!

Jane, we would walk all over the hills on Halloween, and it was so much fun being with my brothers and sisters.

Dale, Oh so funny...never thought changing costumes :)

Larry and Sheila, thank you!

Judi, thanks and you are tooooo kind!

DeeDee, we would walk for hours and go all over the mountains and to all the local stores, and we had sooooo much candy. I guess I would not have gone out by myself, but with 6-8 of us we were fine.

Rebecca,

The top view offers a wide range of color, the second looks black and white. :)
