Little Women, the Musical.....Outstanding Play, Outstanding Actors!
What a delightful treat my husband, Claude and I had last Saturday night. We attended the musical. "Little Women", at the Greenbrier Valley Theatre. I've enjoyed reading the book and watching the movie of "Little Women", but this musical was outstanding!
Little Women is an all-new musical, based upon Louisa May Alcott's much-loved novel. The play brings to life the charming characters of the March family. Like the novel, the musical tells the story of the March sisters, Jo, Meg, Amy, and Beth as they grow from girls into women, guided by Marmee, their beloved mother.

L to R: Ashley Taylor (Beth); Rachel Kenaston (Amy); Katie Fox-Kirsch (Meg); Kim Morgan Dean (Jo).
This is a LITTLE WOMEN like none you have ever seen or heard before. Winner of 1998 Richard Rodgers Development Award and the winner of Spirit Award for Best Lyrics of 2006.
Regular ticket prices: $24/Adult; $21/Senior; $15/Student

Ha! Cute!! I did this play when I was young - I was Aunt March. :)
Rebecca, I wish I could see this play...Little Women was one of my favorite books when I was young. Lucky you! :)
Oh, goodness...one of my favorite books when young too! Oh, I wonder if I still have it at mom's house. I would love to attend this play if I resided here.
Several years ago I saw a production of "Little Women" in Cleveland, it was an excellent show........amazing how they turned it into a musical.
I love the book and the original movie so I bet I would have enjoyed the play as well. Good that you were able to take some time off and relax a little.
Rebecca, going to a play is great entertainment, and "Little Women" would be a good choice!
Joan - I loved the book Little Women" and how great is it you have a local theater how can put on an outstanding play/musical of this classic book! What a nice treat for you and your husband!
Rebecca, I can feel how much you enjoyed this play just by reading this. So glad you and your hubby enjoyed the play and had a wonderful evening.
Sounds like a very special evening for you and Claude, Rebecca.
Hi Rebecca,
I love the book and have seen several videos with different actors in it... but I have never seen a play of it before. I am sure that would just be divine to see it as a play.... wish I could be there to see it in person! I'm glad you and your Husband Claude had a good time.
Emily, Aunt March was a good role to play.
Leilani, mine too!
Sally, you would have enjoyed it, as much as I did!
Roger, I agree.
Anita, it was relaxing. But, when when the lights went out I hurriedly wiped my eyes. I can cry at the drop of a pin.
Joan, yes great entertainment and already planning to see the next two shows.
Kristine, the GVT puts on great musicals and plays.
Kathleen, I did SO enjoy it and wish everyone could see the musical.
Lee and Carol, indeed!
Linda, a great time it was!
