Wordless Wednesday, Not Really - Getting Ready for Winter
The weather report for this Friday calls for snow in parts of West Virginia. These squirrels know and are preparing for winter.
Just before sitting down to breakfast at Lana and John Martindale in Summersville, WV, this morning, I had a fun time watching the squirrels gathering and hiding nuts for the winter. They were just adorable. I tried to get photos of them standing, but by camera was too slow (time for a new one).
My winter preparation was completed last month.....winter clothes, sweaters, coats, boots, etc., are cleaned and now in use. Are you prepared for winter?

Well we are getting cooler however this week it is warmer....got in the yard today and got some fall clean up done! What a great feeling to get some progress done!!
Deborah,we did some fall clean up last week and so glad since the weather is getting colder.
Although we are down on the coast in NC, where it is warmer than home, we have heard there is even a chance of flurries in northern Virginia this weekend. Woo hoo! I am ready.

How cute, Rebecca. I'll bet they were working so fast getting ready for those snow flurries you wouldn't have been able to catch them - even with a faster camera.They are saying we could get snow flurries at the higher elevations here this weekend too. Ready or not winters on its way!

They sure know it is coming don't they.....I sure hate to see winter come but it is on our heels for sure!
We seem to have gone directly from summer to winter. I hope those squirrels don't know something and that this winter won't be as bad as last years.
