Construction Underway for a New Casino at the Greenbrier Resort White Sulphur Springs WV

Driving into to the Greenbrier Resort today was different, as work is officially underway for the new casino. I really miss seeing the beautiful flowers as you drive into the resort.  The flowers are gone, and replaced with a black fence erected to hide the construction work for the new casino.

The new 50,000 square foot casino is anticipated to open in April of 2010. The casino, like The Bunker, will be underground.

The Greenbrier's main entrance is now closed due to the construction work for the casino.

The Greenbrier

The North entrance of the Greenbrier will be the temporary main entrance until April of 2010.

The temporary entrance is just as beautiful with an abundance of beautiful flowers.

In April of 2010, The Greenbrier will be unveiling a 38 table, 320 slot machine casino featuring an elegant gaming environment, fine dining, nightly entertainment, and high end shopping.  Only Greenbrier guests will be able to go to the casino.  The Greenbrier’s sleek underground casino will be smoke-free and have a “high-end” dress code.

A South Norwalk architect firm, Shope Reno Wharton, is designing the casino for the Greenbrier resort.  It will be absolutely beautiful and I can't wait to see the completed project.

Wow, an underground casino. Sounds like a place James Bond would frequent. The Greenbrier is such an beautiful establishment.
