Well, this was a first for me.
While visiting my brother Dan Vasvary in Tennessee, we had stopped to visit friends and hit a bucket of golf balls. While there, this boat car drives into the parking lot. WOW...as you can see, it was an incredible site to see.
Don Newbry starting building this boat car three years ago. He said "I wanted a convertible, and this is what I built". It is a 1973 Glastron GT 150, with a 1971 VW chassis. Don says his next project will be a 17 foot cabin cruiser on wheels. I can't wait to this a cabin cruiser on wheels.
Below are some more photos of the boat car:

Very Cool. Reminds me of 007.
Chris, they were on their way to do a photo shoot on the car boat when I took these photos. This same boat model was used in a 007 movie.
Rebecca,
How do you come up with things like this? You must have a camera ready at any moment! I have never seen anything like it! LOL!
Judy
never seen one.. great! it does remind me of a James Bond thing. thanks for sharing!
Hi Rebecca-That is pretty cool. Never saw that before. I would like one of them. <SMILE>
Ummm, now that would be an interesting way to get from island to island. I wonder if it's ocean-going?
Rebecca - OMG! That is absolutely wild. I agree too - it looks like something from a James Bond movie. Thx for sharing Rebecca.
Judy, I keep my camera close by just for events like this..
Ginger, same model boat was used ina 007 movie...forget which one.
Sharon, I also would like one....
Richard, no sorry, it is not ocean-going now.
Donne, thanks for the visit.
Anyone notice the license plate..."CANTSKI"....guess not on land.
That is funny! I was expecting a joke, but no, it really is a boat car....Keep that camera handy.
Pretty nifty Rebecca. Some people have WAY too much time on their hands.
Kathleen, I keep my camera near by. THinking of getting a smaller one for my purse.
Terry, too much time, or just like restoring things. Whatever floats your boat...
You know heads turn when he goes down the road. Too funny, thanks for sharing.
Oh man I need one of those only in bright yellow. Would that be a blast - or what- driving around town in a boat car. Love it! Love it! Love it!
LOL whatever floats your boat!!!
I know you could really sell those in Lake Havasu City, Arizona! Too cute!
Thanks for stopping by the Cosmic Cow Pie.
Lee and Carol, yeah the heads they were a turning for sure.
Anna, yeah a yellow boat car...would be great for the Arizona weather.
Carra, you bet you could sale 'em there.
Rebecca, wow, that's unique! Does it pull skiers? I bet people on the street get whiplash when he goes past!
Great idea. I am more in the market for an airplane car though. Where you could just take off from a highway and fly above all the mess. That would be great
Tony and Darcy, no skiing...did you see the license plate "cantski"...love it.
Brian, that would be great....an airplane car.
