The Greenbrier Valley Airport increases the number of flights....now there will be non-stop service to Atlanta and New York.
The Greenbrier Valley Airport is a public airport located three three miles from the City of Lewisburg, off of Route 219 North. It is the closet major airport to The Greenbrier. The airport is owned by the Greenbrier County Airport Authority, used for general aviation, it has only one runway and is known as ............."the Longest Runway in West Virginia."
Continental Airlines was the only airline with scheduled services to Cleveland, operated by Gulfstream International Airlines..........now Delta Air Lines, in partnership with The 
Greenbrier, will offer daily, nonstop service to Greenbrier Valley Airport from Atlanta and New York (LaGuardia). The new service begins on June 10 and will utilize the CRJ-200 aircraft, a 50-seat regional jet.
“With so many exciting things happening at The Greenbrier, our elegant, entertainment complex with a grand casino, new restaurants, upscale retail boutiques and our PGA TOUR event, we felt it was necessary to increase the number of flights into Greenbrier Valley Airport. We recognize the importance of providing convenient service to our guests and are thrilled to expand Delta’s service to our area,” said Jim Justice, chairman and owner of The Greenbrier.
“Delta is excited to be providing convenient, nonstop service between Greenbrier Valley Airport and Atlanta and New York-LaGuardia,” said Joe Esposito, Delta’s managing director – Schedule Planning. “Thanks to the connections of Delta’s large global network, the new flights will provide increased opportunities for visitors from around the world to visit the Greenbrier Valley .”
Flights are available for booking effective Saturday, March 20th via www.delta.com, travel agents and other travel providers. Flights will be operated by Delta Connection carriers Atlantic Southeast Airlines and Pinnacle Airlines.

Atlanta:
- Departs ATL at 10:50 a.m. Arrives LWB at 12:18 p.m.
- Departs LWB at 12:45 p.m. Arrives ATL at 2:10 p.m.
New York:
- Departs LGA at 1:30 p.m. Arrives LWB at 3:15 p.m.
- Departs LWB at 3:45 p.m. Arrives LGA at 5:20 p.m.

What a way to celebrate New Year's Eve. We attended two great events on this day. First, our nephew, Todd Gaujot married Tracy Miller, in Lewisburg, WV. It was a small wedding held at the Lewisburg United Methodist Church. The bride had changed clothes after the photo shots of the wedding party, but wore the bridal veil all evening.
