Come one, come all to the West Virginia State Fair, It's All Here!
The dates for West Virginia’s largest, multi-day family celebration are August 12-20.
The 2011 State Fair will showcase the best of West Virginia and feature the state’s most diverse entertainment lineup, incredible new free entertainment for all age groups, the largest carnival midway in the mid-Atlantic and the best agricultural classroom around!
A glimpse at 2011 includes a sand sculpture depicting the 150th Anniversary of the Civil War, alligator wrestling, the return of the dairy cattle birthing center and new evening parades.
The State Fair has been designated a Top 100 event for 2011 by the American Bus Association. For more information and details on entertainment, ticketing and competitions check out the State Fair of WV website.
The State Fair of West Virginia, with an $8.9 million dollar economic impact on Greenbrier County, is a 501 3 non-profit corporation committed to the traditions of agriculture, family entertainment, and education.
The State Fair of West Virginia is held annually in mid-August on the State Fairgrounds in Fairlea near Lewisburg, WV in the southeastern part of the state. The State Fairgrounds consists of a large open field for carnivals and exhibitions, a horse track, grandstands, and several exhibition buildings. Free parking is provided adjacent to the fairgrounds
