It was 1970. Like so many young people, I left West Virginia to take a job with the Government in Washington, DC. After working 35 years for the Government, and dealing with the bureaucratic bull, I retired. My husband, also from West Virginia, and I decided to purchase some land and build a home. After purchasing a lot on a golf course in Northern Virginia, we decided that area was not for us and we sold the land......we did this twice.
It seemed something was calling us both home. One weekend we traveled to Greenbrier County, and started looking for land. We made the decision to build our retirement home in Lewisburg, West Virginia. Moving back to our roots, was indeed the best plan ever.
