A New Retail Shop and Ice Skating Rink Opens this Weekend at The Greenbrier
On Friday, November 26, at noon, The Greenbrier’s new retail shop, Crepe Myrtle Bags and Beads makes an official debut opening. Cathy Justice will host the ribbon cutting for the resort's newest boutique shop.
Crepe Myrtle Bags and Beads, located in the resort’s lower level shop corridor, features a several popular lines of women’s accessories. Totes, purses and accessories by Vera Bradley and Dooney and Bourke, as well as jewelry from Brighton and Pandora, highlight the shop’s offerings. Also available are Catstudio’s whimsical state pillows and glassware.
On Saturday, November 27 at 11:00 a.m. The Greenbrier will have the grand opening of their 70' by 140' Ice Skating Rink.
To celebrate the grand opening, the West Virginia Synchro, a synchronized skating team from the Charleston Figure Skating Club will
perform a spectacular routine. The team, which competes at the Open Juvenile level, is the only one of its kind in the state. In addition to performing in regional and sectional competitions, the team also participates in local exhibitions and shows.
Also, as part of the opening, The Greenbrier’s Springhouse Dancers will perform “Shake Hands with Santa Claus” from their upcoming Christmas Cheer Cabaret.
The ice skating rink will be open daily to resort guests and members. Non-registered guests are welcome to enjoy the facility on December 3-5, 10-12, and 17-19. The state-of-the-art rink has custom lights and a nearby fire pit, perfect for making s’mores. The Chesapeake Bay Room serves as the access point for the rink and skate rentals are available.
