 Kathy Mattea will be performing at Carnegie Hall on mainstage September 9, 2011, at 7:30 PM.  Known for such classic country hits as “Eighteen Wheels and A Dozen Roses,” Grammy Award-winner and Charleston, West Virginia native Kathy Mattea spent her childhood immersed in Appalachian culture. Throughout her career, Mattea has explored music’s most basic human essence, melodies steeped in emotion and timeless narratives delivered with beauty by an unmistakable voice.

A Carnegie Hall Festival You Don't Want to MISS - a Weekend of Rhythm, Blues and All that Jazz!

 

Carnegie Hall's 4th Annual Rhythm, Blues and All That Jazz Festival  starts on June 2 and continues through June 5, in Lewisburg, WV.  This jam packed event features some of the best jazz and blues artists....

Starting on Thursday, June 2 there will be a FREE concert on the lawn at Carnegie Hall by  the Jarmovers setting the stage for the next three days.

 



Friday Mose Allison will rock on stage

 

 

and Saturday brings a

Carnegie Car Show hosted by Throttle Throbs Car Club,

and three blues concerts:

 

1) Pat Cohen  

 

2) Honeyboy Edwards

 

3) Ana Popovic

On Sunday, Carnegie Hall teams up with the Greenbrier Valley Theatre to close the festival with a concert by the West Virginia Jazz Orchestra at  3:00 PM to be held at the theatre. Tickets for this concert can be purchased by calling 304-645-3838 or visit GVT website.

Carnegie Hall's Annual Wintertime Fundraiser - Monte Carlo Night 2011 at the WV State Fairgrounds

 

 

 

Once again Carnegie Hall in Lewisburg, West Virginia, is planning their annual winter fundraiser.........................

Monte Carlo Night!


 


The date for this fun event is February 26, 2011, from 8 PM - midnight.  With Gillespie's Flowers and Productions' elegant transformations and casino styling, the Underwood Building at the WV State Fairgrounds in Fairlea, WV, will be the site for the biggest party of the year. 

 

The gaming is faux, but if you don't want to gamble, dance to the music of Vern's Pot O' Chili, a favorite local band.  There will be an open bar and an array of hors d'oeuvres for those with an appetite.

Tickets are $60 in advance, and $75 at the door.

 

Carnegie Hall in Lewisburg WVThe proceeds from Monte Carlo Night directly fund the arts and education programming at Carnegie Hall.  Monte Carlo Night is necessary in bridging the gap between other funding and the cost of keeping the arts accessible.  Carnegie Hall invites sponsorships.  There are three levels:

 

spadeSpade- $1,000 sponsorship

 

heartHeart- $500 sponsorship

 

diamondDiamond  - $300 sponsorship
