Duke's Pets in Lewisburg, WV, is owned by Kelly Horgan. Kelly Horgan, a business owner from Connecticut moved to Texas to follow her passion and dream ..... canine training. Everything started to fall into place when she enrolled at the Triple Crown Dog Academy in Austin, Texas. Kelly's dream finally came to fruition when she received her Canine Trainer and Behavior Specialist Certification, moved to Lewisburg.....and opened Duke's Pets on January 2, 2010. Kelly plans to open a full grooming shop in June.
Duke's Pets provides free training evaluations to help dog owners decide on the best training options that will not only benefit their dog, but will accommodate their lifestyle as well. Whether you are interested in a behavior solution, Duke’s Camp, private instruction, or a group class—call Kelly for a free evaluation.
- Duke's Camp - Professional trainers will spend four weeks with an animal teaching them dog home manners and obedience.
- Private Instruction - A trainer works exclusively with you and your dog. Six consecutive weeks of training. Class times can be scheduled to accommodate your lifestyle.
- Group classes - There are eight different levels of obedience classes for puppies and dogs. Check out the Class Descriptions here.
Have you been concerned about your dog's or cat's nutrition? The staff at Duke's Pets is extremely knowledgeable about animal nutrition, and can help you choose the right natural dog food or natural cat food for your pet.
Duke's Pets also has an adoption service.
Kelly Horgan working with Friends for Life provided her services as a trainer/behaviorist so that one of their dogs would be more adoptable. Splint is the newest recruit at Duke's Camp and needs a good home. Read about Splint...he is sooooo adorable, you just might want to adopt this beautiful two-year old, 70-lb. solid red shorthaired Treeing Walker Coonhound/Doberman Pinscher mix.
