The world renowned resort will now be the annual site for this prestigious event which showcases some of the most talented, educated, and socially aware women in the state. The 2011 Miss West Virginia and Miss West Virginia ’s Outstanding Teen competitions will be held July 4-8 at the White Sulphur Springs resort.
“We are thrilled to be the new home of the Miss West Virginia Pageant,” said Jim Justice, chairman and owner of The Greenbrier. "Like the Miss West Virginia organization, we are committed to making a positive difference in our community and together, we look forward to encouraging others to make a difference in their area.” The Miss West Virginia and Miss West Virginia’s Outstanding Teen contestants will participate in the 2011 state pageant finals, when West Virginia’s representatives in the 2011-2012 Miss America and Miss America’s Outstanding Teen will be selected.
The final night of the event where both state representatives will be named will be televised statewide. “We are thrilled to call The Greenbrier home,” said Leah Summers, executive director of the Miss West Virginia Scholarship Organization. “The Greenbrier represents the very best of West Virginia , especially recognizing the importance of tradition, elegance and the mountaineer spirit. These are the same things that form the foundation of our program.”

The preliminary competitions will be held on July 5, 6 and 7, with the crowning held on July 8. Tickets are available for all four evening events and may be purchased individually or as a package including all four competitions.
