Mrs. America Pageant, an Upcoming Event at the Greenbrier

 

The history of the Mrs. America Pageant may not be well known.  So for a short history lesson, check out the Mrs. America Pageant history and the past winners.


The 35th annual Mrs. America Pageant will be held at The Greenbrier, April 12-14, 2011.  Preliminary competition is on April 12, and the final competition will be April 14 both will be held in the Colonial Hall at The Greenbrier.

The competition brings together the most accomplished married women from all 50 states and the District of Columbia (ranging in age from 20 to 50), to compete for the title.  Florence Henderson and her daughter, Barbara Chase, will co-hosts this event.

 

Dress code:  Ladies, cocktail attire and men, jacket and tie required. 

Tickets:  Available at the Mrs. America Pageant website

 

Preliminary Tickets are $75-$85

Final Competition Tickets are $85-$100


NOTE: TICKETS WILL NOT BE MAILED OR SENT PRIOR TO THE EVENT

TICKETS CAN BE PICKED UP AT WILL CALL 1 HOUR BEFORE THE EVENT

The Mrs. America pageant will air as a two-hour primetime special on Mother’s Day, Sunday, May 8, on My Family TV, R&R TV, Retro TV and the Dish Network.

 

 

This year’s pageant at The Greenbrier will mark the first time the event has taken place on the East Coast. 

The delegates arrived at the Greenbrier on March 31 and have been participating in a fashion show, charitable endeavors and other activities....such as volunteering for the Almost Heaven Habitat for Humanity's Women Build Project in White Sulphur Springs.  The ladies spent part of the day at the site to help another woman's dream of home ownership become a reality.
