Landau Eugene Murphy Followed his Dream and Wins America's Got Talent Contest
The soulful vocalist who once supported himself by washing cars at an auto dealership sang his way to victory on Wednesday on "America's Got Talent."
The Sinatra-influenced singer, Landau Eugene Murphy, Jr., 36, is from Logan, West Virginia. He sang in his church choir and was motivated to do something with his life after washing cars for ten years. He followed his dream, and on the season finale, Landau sang a duet with his idol, Patti LaBelle -- the Marvin Gaye classic "You're All I Need to Get By."
After winning the $1 million championship prize, he is own his way to Las Vegas to headline his own show! Watch the below video of the finale. Landau sings three songs.....His dream finally came true!
