This Halloween Take a Walk Through Haunted Woods at The Second Creek Haunted Trail
The Second Creek Haunted Trail
Event Date: October 29 and 30, 2010
Event Time: 7:00 pm to 11:00 pm
Event Location: Highland Park Road in Second Creek
Description: Almost a mile long trek through Haunted woods, then a hayride back to the start. The woods are lit only with candles with lots of monsters hiding in wait.
Costs: $5 for adults and $3, for children (Children under 5 years old will not be allowed.)
Check out the website for more information and photos. This event is sponsored by volunteers who have done this for 16 years. All money raised goes to local charities and families in need.

Directions: Follow Highway Route 219 from Lewisburg to Organ Cave toward Union, WV. Turn left at the bridge at the Monroe/Greenbrier County line, which is Second Creek. From there, follow the signs.

This event has been going on every Friday and Saturday in October. This will be the last weekend....so don't miss it! Last Saturday the attendance was 255. The biggest crowd was last year with over 300 people at the haunted trail.
In 2009, The Second Creek Haunted Trail made donations and contributions to the make-a-wish foundation and was able to send a child from Monroe and a child from Greenbrier County on a trip to fulfill their wish!
Also contributions were made to a couple angel trees, Toys for Tots, and many individuals in the surrounding communities.
