The Greenbrier is proud to announce that Eaton Corporation and Franklin American Mortgage Company (FAMC) have been named presenting partners for the inaugural Greenbrier Classic, which will be held July 26 through August 1, 2010 as part of the FedEx Cup Series.
“We are thrilled to have Eaton and Franklin American Mortgage as our presenting partners,” said Jim Justice, chairman and owner of The Greenbrier. “These companies have great reputations and are going to be terrific assets as we set new records for charitable giving for a first year event.”
In addition to presenting the event, Eaton and Franklin American Mortgage will also play key roles in directing The Greenbrier Classic’s charitable giving program. “We are well on our way to achieving our goal of $3 million plus in charitable giving, and we are grateful for the knowledge and resources of Eaton and Franklin American Mortgage,” said Justice.

The Old White Course, The Greenbrier’s original of three golf courses, will serve as the site of the tournament where a field of 156 players will compete for a $6 million purse. Over the years, many of the game’s greatest players, including Sam Snead, Tom Watson, Ben Hogan, Byron Nelson, Arnold Palmer, Gary Player and Lee Trevino have graced The Greenbrier’s historic fairways.
