Closing Gift Ideas in My Hometown, the Kodak/Active Rain Challenge
Lewisburg, West Virginia, known as the "Coolest Small Town", is a great place to live with a population of less than 5,000. This historical town has many great shops and restaurants. I love to shop so, of course, I like buying closing gifts for my clients.
Shopping is so easy as we have one main street with many great shops to select closing gifts. I may give a gift card from Lowe's or S.J. Lumber Company for home supplies, or shop at one of the local stores. For instance, just to name a few:
Cooper Gallery has beautiful prints of West Virginia landscapes that can be framed and come in all sizes.
Or, a gift certificate from Edith's Health Food Store for the clients that are into healthy and specialty items.
Bella's Corner Gourmet Shop has some great gifts for the kitchen, or perhaps a wine and cheese basket.
For the single female client, I may select an item or a gift certificate from Wolf Creek Gallery.
If I am looking for some unique home accessories or gifts, I checkout Henne's the new boutique for some great closing gifts. Harmony Ridge Gallery has handmade art and crafts.
For clients that are wine connoisseurs, I check out Hamilton's Wine Bar for some very good wines to add to a basket, adding some wine glasses and/or a wine magazine.
The Crazy Baker's® delicious products make wonderful gifts. They can be mailed or I can pick up a basket and hand deliver myself.
For the clients that love to be outdoors, I shop at the Serenity Now Outfitters for outdoor specialties and fly fishing gear, as well as gear for backpacking and hiking.
If I want to do a basket on West Virginia food and wines, I head over to the Stonehouse General Store. Or, to the Old Hardware Gallery for local art, glassware, etc.
If clients love to eat out, or are new to the area, I find that gift certificates at any of the below restaurants make great closing gifts:
- Blackwell's located at the Elk's Country Club
- Stella's is a charming, newly-renovated, 1898 home turned restaurant
- The Stardust Café is the place to dine since it is right across the street from the Greenbrier Valley Theatre.
- Bella Casa is the newest restaurant in town, opened February 22, 2011
- Julian's, is another well know restaurant
- Food and Friends, when you mention Lewisburg, people always mention this great restaurant.
- The General Lewis Inn, one of the finest restaurants and has great Rainbow Trout.
- The Greenbrier Resort, has many great restaurants to choose from. A great gift especially if clients are new to the area and have never been to the resort.
With the dinner certificate, I may add tickets to the Greenbrier Valley Theatre, or to Carnegie Hall.
So, as you can see buying a closing gift for a client is easy for me especially here in Lewisburg where I can find the perfect closing gifts.
