A true delight at any great antiques show is the presence of those utilitarian, sometimes arcane and ephemeral objects that by virtue of the mastery of their design sparkle through the patina of age to find a new life as purely decorative objects.

  • Derek and Tina Rayment Antiques, Cheshire, England, will feature antique barometers and scientific instruments,
  • J. Gallagher, New York, spotlights antique andirons.
  • The English figural pottery from Staffordshire will be featured by Zane Moss Antiques, New York City,
  •  Majolica, in every form for every function will be shown by Jerry S. Hayes, Oklahoma City.
  •  Exquisite porcelain, pottery and silver are the specialty of Moylan Smelkinson Antiques of Baltimore, MD.

Jewelry has become increasingly important in the world of antiques and will be amply represented at The Greenbrier show.

  • Sue Brown of London, features Victorian estate jewelry and
  • Hamshere Gallery, also from England, are the world’s leading purveyors of canine, equestrian and sporting antique jewelry.
  • Pampillonia, now of Washington D.C. was, in the early 20th century the jeweler to Vittorio Emmanuel II, the last King of Italy.

Books are also treasured at shows like The Greenbrier and out of print books will be featured by

  • Bookworm and Silverfish of Wytheville, VA
