Almost Heaven Habitat for Humanity will be presenting its Women Build Project throughout the evening in various locations downtown. Project representatives will be on hand at downtown businesses, who will present information about the project. First Friday attendees will be able to “sponsor a square foot” of the house that will be built by an all women construction team in the Spring of 2011. The names of individuals who sponsor a square foot at the February First Fridays event will be entered into a drawing for prizes.
The Women Build Project also presents a “sign-a-stud” project, to be held from 5pm to 9pm at the Greenbrier County Convention and Visitor’s Bureau. Children of all ages are invited to design a one foot section of a 2x4 board, which will be used in the building process of the Women Build house.
